Data center networks have evolved over the years with many specialized sub-systems and devices. The current complexity threatens reliability and slows down change just when application developers must move faster to compete in the digital transformation race. This session will focus on how data center automation should focus on ongoing operations with a 360-degree view of the network to assure that the network which the design team intended on Day 0, and the engineering team deployed, is the same one that the operations team runs on Day 2. New closed-loop automation approaches result in a network that has self-knowledge of how it should operate, can self-analyse to validate its operation, and has the intelligence to aid rapid remediation. Additionally, through automated workflows, these platforms support fast, consistent, compliant, and self-documenting change management for new services delivery.
