Michael McNerney is Vice President of Marketing and Network Security at Supermicro. Mr. McNerney is responsible for bringing Supermicro’s extensive portfolio of Server and Storage Solutions to Market. He played a critical role in the development and roll out of Supermicro’s Resource Savings Systems that deliver significant Green Computing benefits in power savings and eWaste reduction and also deliver superior TCO. He has a diverse background, delivering market making innovation including early Java Business Development, microprocessor strategy, open source alliances, and introducing multiple new products from concept to launch. He has extensive IT industry experience with previous senior leadership roles at HP and Sun Microsystems. McNerney received his Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
